The Process
Step One: Contact Jess
Let's chat to align on your training goals and my training philosophy to see if it's a right fit for both of us.
If we're a match, then we'll talk about a timeline + logistics. I will also send you paperwork to fill out prior to dropping off your pup!
Step 2: Send Deposit + Necessary Paperwork
If we're a good fit, please send your 10% deposit via check or Venmo to reserve your spot, complete your paperwork, and have your vet send vaccination records to pinetreepawsME@gmail.com.
I only take on a maximum of two dogs at a time to ensure high-quality care and attention. This will ensure your spot is reserved well ahead of time.
Step 3: Drop Off
If you are dropping off for boarding, we will review your forms to make sure they're still current and up to date.
If you are dropping off for a boarding and train program, you will receive a demo of our tools as we require you to interact with and learn about the tools before we put them on your dog. Expect an hour-long session at drop-off.
Step 4: The Experience
For all dogs they will receive daily physical exercise, mental enrichment, and lots of cuddles!
For boarding dogs, you will get up to one hour of training existing skills per day.
For board and train dogs, you will get up to 3 hours of training per day. This will depend on the dog's personality, comfortability, and your training goals. We may go on field trips to the lake, or to a pet friendly store near the end of the program to make sure those skills are solid before going home!
For humans, you can expect daily photos + summaries of their adventures, experiences, and overall well-being.
Step 5: Pick Up
For boarding dogs, you will pick up your dog at the time we agreed on. I will tell you all about our adventures and any learnings you might be able to bring home. This is the end of the experience for boarding dogs!
For board and train dogs, you will receive a 60-minute session reviewing the new skills, tools, and ways to communicate with your dog. You will learn by doing; expect a lot of hands on practice!
Step 6: Tune Up Sessions
For board and train dogs, you will receive an email the day you pick up your dog with a link to schedule a 60-minute session seven to thirty days after picking up your dog. We can use this time to answer any questions, practice skills, or address new concerns you might have after having time to practice in the real world!
